Bio

Rick Perkins joined the Stride team in early 2022 with a wealth of knowledge from his career as a school leader. He started as a classroom teacher, moved to the role of Dean of Students, and ultimately became a principal. He then transitioned to being the Director of Instructional Operations at Florida Virtual School. Under his leadership, the school doubled in size while producing increased academic performance in all measurables, including AP scores, FCAT scores, completion percentage, and passing rates. In addition, the teaching staff, which grew to over 1,000 full-time teachers (a 300% increase), reported the highest morale in school history. Rick spent the next nine years as VP of Instructional Services at Edmentum, Inc. He created and implemented Success Coaching, Tutoring, Career Academy, and School Mentoring – all for virtual school settings. Since joining Stride, Rick has used his experience to focus on restructuring the organization. He has a bachelor’s degree in Business Management, a master's degree in Educational Leadership, and a Certificate of Educational Leadership for English 6-12, and Social Science, 6-12.

Bio

Charlie Craighill is a National Account Executive with the Learning Solutions team, responsible for new district sales and ensuring products and services meet clients’ needs and goals. Charlie also supports client communications for new partnerships to various district stakeholders and meets regularly with key points of contact to ensure program fidelity. Charlie joined Stride in 2016 after 7 years teaching in DC Public Schools. Charlie taught remedial reading and Spanish. He graduated in 2009 from Furman University with a BA in Spanish and English.
